"Bankruptcy is Renewing"
Life After Bankruptcy Stories
I had bills piled up that I could never pay off and they just continued
to add up. Filing bankruptcy may feel embarrassing, yet it is
a time to refocus and to help get you going in the
right direction again.
The worst time in my
opinion was the pre-bankruptcy. I had to take two jobs and extra shifts
and not even break even. I was working 16 hours a day every single week
and it was like this for almost two years! I could barely feed
my family.
We could not get a loan from the bank because our credit was so bad, we
owed thousands on our house and it was such a nightmare. I can’t recall
a time in my life that was so hard.
Before bankruptcy my life was a nightmare. My wife and I were both
working everyday which meant the kids were usually at their grand moms
so we did not get to see them that much which was extremely difficult
for my wife.
Christmas was not easy either. We really could not get our kids much
that they wanted, and the things that they did get we had to
borrow money from family which we had never been able to pay back.
The only thing that is good that comes out of bankruptcy is that it
gives you a chance to restart and a huge sense of relief. Not owing
thousands and thousands of dollars is such a great thing.
After filing bankruptcy, I attended a trade school and
became an electrician. I work my own hours and I make
more money than I ever did before. So for those who are in bad
situations and considering bankruptcy, I say to keep your head
up because once bankruptcy is clear your life will be renewed.
